About the role…

The Clinical Supplies Manager will have to perform the activities required to provide leadership and provision in the planning, development, and execution of clinical supply chain activities and have the ability to drive cross-functional deliverables and manage activities of supply partners and functions (e.g. packaging, distribution and logistics). The Clinical Supplies Manager is instrumental in timely planning, accurate forecasting and managing clinical supplies for all clinical trials carried out by MRN. The position requires flexibility, teamwork, attention to detail and rapid response to issues as they arise

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensures that clinical trial ancillary materials are available for Healthcare Professionals supporting clinical trials by analysing current and forecasted material usage and projecting inventory availability across the clinical trial supply chain.
  • Monitors inventory levels and performs calculations necessary that help appropriate action to ensure that depots are appropriately stocked.
  • Documents and maintains calculation of ancillary product use and supply based on varying levels of available data from supplies partners and internal teams
  • Identifies and or recommends process improvements based on understanding of Clinical Trial Supply Chain Management best practice principles and appropriately documents and revises or develops associated training materials
  • Works with both internal and key external stakeholders to ensure consistent communication of clinical trial material supply status and potential risks. Produce reports and metrics as required for study tracking.
  • Assist in re-forecasting clinical supplies in the event of project changes occurring during a study (enrolment per country, number of sites per country, addition of new countries, etc.) to determine and anticipate the impact on supply forecasts and supply plans
  • Advises Operational functions and management teams of resource constraints and recommends strategies which will influence the ability of MRN to meet existing or anticipated demands
  • Ability to effectively communicate and persuade others to accomplish clinical supply goals and objectives
  •  Acts as back up for other members of the Supplies Team

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications…

We are looking for talented individuals who realise the pressures of managing clinical supplies. Someone who can forecast and allocate resources to manage clinical supplies with focus on meeting the project aims.

It is Essential you have:

  • Relevant industry experience with experience in clinical supply management and sound knowledge of the complete clinical supplies life cycle
  • Experience in supply tracking requirements and systems
  • Ability to effectively communicate and persuade others to accomplish clinical supply goals and objectives
  • Project planning skills to make optimum use of resources and to meet timelines
  • Effective communication and knowledge of how to impact and influence people

Where: This role can be based anywhere within the UK
