About the role…

The Data Privacy Associate will support the MRN’s Data Privacy Committee and Data Protection Officers’ in carrying out their obligations with regards to ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Mapping the processing of personal data across systems and functions both internally and externally to know what, where and who has access to maintain records of processing personal data
  • Maintain records of processing
  • Maintain documents in Data Protection Committee folders and information on MRN intranet
  • Produce and maintain Data Privacy Impact assessments
  • Attend regular data privacy meetings, take minutes and support members to follow up on actions
  • Monitor the Data Protection Committee mailbox, alert functional when information requests or remove requests are received. Support functions in actioning those requests.
  • Review of breach cases and production of monthly and quarterly metrics of potential/breaches
  • Support BD and operations with RFIs and general questions concerning MRNs data privacy policies and methods.
  • Provide staff training on fundamentals of data privacy
  • Liaise with departments to ensure contracts with subcontractors contain suitable data privacy language
  • Horizon scanning and awareness and collation of country specific data privacy requirements, to support functions
  • Attend study internal kick off meetings where required to explain customer data privacy requirements
  • Provide input into MRN controlled documents concerning data privacy
  • Liaison with external Data Protection Officers’ support services
  • Helping audits with focus on data privacy activities
  • Liaise with Marketing to ensure data privacy information on MRN’s website is current and correct

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications…

We are looking for talented individuals who are analytical, enthusiastic and can assimilate and develop processes.

It’s Essential you have:

  • A degree, or have equivalent experience
  • Experience of working in clinical research and/or a regulated environment
  • An interest in data privacy
  • Proficient in using Microsoft packages
