About the role…

We are looking for a talented Director of Development (Clinical Technologies) to join our team. As the Director of Development, you will oversee the efficient and high-quality development of the MRN Technologies software products, ensuring each product has clear and concise supporting documentation for audit, training and deployment purposes.

The Director of Development at MRN Technologies will be responsible for:

  • Managing the product roadmap, development timelines and resources to achieve optimal outcomes based on the business strategy and the product owners’ requirements, whilst ensuring scalability and readiness for future growth.
  • Owning the product development lifecycle and the architecture for each product, ensuring effective integration of products when required.
  • Supporting the commercial development teams throughout the sales journey, proactively striving to accelerate MRN growth and team success.
  • Ensuring internal and external development teams collaborate effectively and following defined processes to meet the required standards.
  • Overseeing the continued development of the team (internal & offshore) to achieve and further develop the MRN Technologies product roadmap.
  • Managing technical escalations appropriately.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications…

We are keen to hear from individuals who are technically accomplished, with excellent communication capabilities and a commercial mindset. You must be a creative problem solver who thrives in a dynamic and changing environment, in which you will be held accountable and recognised for your contribution in equal measure.

To be considered, you must be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Prior experience of successfully managing a team of Developers, within the clinical technology arena.
  • Experience contributing to and driving Product Development Roadmaps.
  • Experience in successfully developing and implementing strategy.
  • Experience working in a modern microservices environment where microservices are using different languages and frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of Agile project implementation.
  • Experience working with AWS services, Javascript and React
  • Experience of Source Control, databases and App development.
  • Experience of Containers, Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Practical and recent experience in creating, reporting and managing budgets.
  • Prior experience of directly managing and developing client relationships.
