As a People Advisor, you will support the continued improvement of a highly effective People (Human Resources) function to support the growth strategy of MRN in the United States. A priority for this role is to provide a high level of hands-on operational activity for People related processes throughout the entire employee life cycle.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing a proactive advisory service aligned to Company policies, legislative requirements and best practice.
  • Reviewing, creating and implementing People policies, procedures and processes, in collaboration with the People Manager.
  • Supporting and coaching managers on performance management issues and processes.
  • Supporting Employee Relations questions and providing face to face advice and coaching to enable managers to resolve issues.
  • Coordinates and/or conducts employee relations activities and programs including but not limited to employee counseling, interpretation of policies, supporting and coaching managers and supporting employee relations questions.
  • Maintaining compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to complete the new hire onboarding process, including completing trackers, sending and collecting new hire forms and entering information into various HR systems, requesting and processing reference checks and coordinates new hire orientation programs.
  • May assist the Talent Acquisition team with recruitment activities such as sourcing of candidates, reviewing applications and scheduling interviews.
  • Request and process references for new starters.
  • Assist with the organization of new hire orientation programs.
  • In conjunction with the Office Administration team, carry out HR orientation and US office orientation programs.
  • Represents the US People Team on MRN’s internal Diversity & Inclusion group.
  • In partnership with the Global People Team, develops and implements new initiatives in areas including; well-being, employee engagement, and diversity & inclusion.
  • Assist with US payroll and benefits processing and administration.
  • Communicate new starters, leavers, promotions and transfer payroll changes to the Finance team.
  • Enroll new starters and process leavers in all applicable benefit programs and systems including; medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, 401(k), well-being, etc.
  • Coordinates administration of workers’ compensation, COBRA, FMLA, and other benefit programs.
  • Maintain employee record-keeping and confidentiality.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Experience:

  • Proven and demonstrable success in a Human Resources Generalist / Manager role.
  • Previous experience working for a multi-state employer is required.
  • Experience in healthcare field, specifically RNs, is strongly preferred.
  • Specific HR training and knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and other IT systems is essential.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Organization Development or Business Administration, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • HR Certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP)
