Where within the MRN will I be working…

This role sits within Vendor Contracts Management team. The function is to contract vendors (nursing vendors, couriers, equipment vendors, providers for external services) for Home Trial Support and Site Nurse Support projects and monitor their performance.

About the role…

As a Senior Vendor Manager, you will be responsible to build, contract and manage a global network of vendors that are capable of delivering MRN services in a reliable and consistent manner for our customers and patients. This role will work closely with the Vendor Contracts Management Team (VCMT) providing oversight and support day to day, to ensure contracts are completed in a timely manner and collaborative relationships are built with all vendors. This role will also need to build relationships with other MRN functions to ensure integration through collaboration, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Duties include:

  • Ownership of all services and processes in remit
  • Understanding and documentation of Service capabilities
  • New Services implementation and process definition and documentation
  • Oversight and take lead on day-to-day delivery of services and processes in remit
  • Continuous improvement initiative development, planning and implementation
  • Input to creation and implementation of department’s strategy
  • Creation of controlled documents
  • Monitor and ensure quality and compliance within services and processes in remit
  • Production and analysis of relevant metrics
  • Input to Risk Mitigation development
  • Input to department’s succession planning, structure and scalability
  • Plan and monitor Team Objectives
  • Development of RACI and escalation plans
  • Take part in training needs assessments and develop training plans as needed for the team
  • Training provision to team member and other functions and competence sign-off
  • Overview of cross-functional training needs to aid integration
  • Training resource review, creation, approval and development
  • Line management of team members

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications…

It’s Essential you have:

  • Experience in vendor management
  • Experience with process creation and controlled document development
  • Experience in the Health Care sector would be advantageous
  • Experience working in Clinical Trials would be advantageous
