Meet Michele Richardson - Site Network Coordinator
1) What do you enjoy about your role?
I love working across cross-functional teams to find solutions to often complex issues. My job is different every day. Today, I might be inviting trial sites to learn more about our services; tomorrow I might be assisting a site to resolve a complication or a lab challenge. It’s a new job every day!
2) What are your thoughts on the Decentralised Clinical Trial market?
There is still a prevailing sense of distrust and lack of understanding and education around the Decentralized Clinical Trials arena. Yet at the same time there is an ever-increasing need for trial participation options. The industry must adapt to grow, diversify, and thrive to continue to bring cutting edge medications and treatments. As the largest provider of Home Trial Visits, the MRN has such an opportunity to change attitudes and educate so many.
3) What first attracted you to MRN and why did you choose to join us?
I have been in the research industry for most of my career and can’t imagine doing anything else. But I needed to refresh my spirit! Joining MRN afforded me the opportunity and flexibility to spend more time with family and better manage personal responsibilities while still maintaining full time employment.
4) What advice would you give to someone who is joining MRN?
Be Open and Be BOLD! Don’t be afraid of new ideas and don’t be too hard on yourself in the beginning. It’s like learning a whole new language and understanding all new concepts so take time and one day it will snap together.
