National Heroes – not just now, but everyday

Celebrating National Doctors day

Today is National Doctors’ Day, and in 2020, this day is unlikely to be like any other held before – just think of last week’s applause for all NHS staff and other key workers in the UK (see videos here) for a recent example of how healthcare professionals are being celebrated in these difficult times. We are all incredibly grateful for all those putting themselves on the front line to help others during these challenging times.

Doctors across the world have been bracing for and facing a surge of critically ill patients, knowing the more patients they treat and interact with, the greater the risk for themselves – a truly heroic act. Something that they do every day, not just during times of crisis.

Physicians also play a vital role in preventative medicine and cures – namely those involved in clinical trials, either as Principal Investigators (PI), Sub-PIs or performing Home Trial Support visits (where a nurse is not permitted). The services we provide to clinical trials gives us an opportunity to work side-by-side with physicians to care for patients and build successful trials. Today we are proud to celebrate their unwavering passion and dedication to patients and advancements in medicine.

We would like to acknowledge the physicians who are working tirelessly, today and always, to provide the best possible care to their patients.

From all of us at MRN, THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO!
